BVCA / Membership

Proposed membership grades

Four grades, each tied to published criteria. These are proposals: admissions are not open, and no one can join or pay yet.

Status: Proposed grades, criteria and fees may change. Admissions: not yet open. Register interest to hear when they open.
01Grades

A credential should have a standard behind it.

Each grade comes with its own criteria, a yearly renewal and ongoing obligations. Post-nominals can only be used after admission, and only while membership is current.

02Admission pathway

How admission will work.

This is the planned process. It starts once the independent admissions panel is appointed.

01

Apply

Send your professional history, experience and supporting material, such as sample reports with client details removed.

02

Assessment

The independent admissions panel tests your application against the published criteria for the grade.

03

Admission

Successful applicants are admitted at the grade the panel approves and listed on the public register.

04

Keep it current

Members renew each year, complete professional development and stay subject to the code of conduct and complaints process, once those are written and adopted.

Founders are not entitled to any grade. Anyone connected with Valuation Group Pty Ltd applies through the same process and is assessed by panel members who have no business ties to them.

03Questions

Joining, in plain terms.

Can I join now?

No. Admissions open once the independent council and admissions panel are in place. Register interest and we'll contact you when they open.

Can I use BVCA post-nominals now?

Will I need to pay anything to register interest?

No. Registering interest is free and doesn't commit you to anything.

Does BVCA membership replace other qualifications?

No. BVCA is a private membership body. It is not a government, regulatory or accounting body, and membership doesn't replace any qualification, licence or accreditation a valuer needs for their work.
